Hearing Protection

At European level, the noise directive 86/188/EEG imposes strict standards. The directive specifies that an employer has to provide ear protectors if a noise level of more than 80 dB(A) is reached. The wearing of this personal protective equipment is mandatory in case of a daily exposure to 85 dB(A) or more.

In case of a permanent exposure to noise of 80 dB(A), the risk of a loss of hearing is already very high.
