The only FFP3 respirator mask certified according to EN149 particularly for medical applications is now also approved as a surgical mask of the type 2R according to EN14683.

Standard (EN 149:2001 + A1:2009) and US Standard (NIOSH 42 CFR 84).
In August 2009, the standard EN 149:2001 was supplemented by the annex A1:2009 by the CEN (Comité Européen de Normalisation), European Committee for Standardization. The name of the current standard is EN 149:2001 + A1:2009.
